COVID-19

Update in France

Holiday accommodation is open and beaches, parks, lakes, cafés and restaurants re-opened in June with social distancing in place. No more than 10 people can gather in any public space at present.

Borders with Europe re-opened on 15 June and“reciprocal” voluntary quarantine started for people arriving in France from the UK. This is likely to change once "air bridge" agreements are finalised late June and quarantine will no longer be necessary.

France will gradually re-open to countries outside the European Union from 1 July 2020.

Stage three of déconfinement started on 22 June and relates to the re-opening of cinemas, stadiums and exhibition halls over the coming months.

Your Booking

If you live in France: the containment measures have been lifted. Your booking is confirmed.

If you live outside of France, within the Schengen area: there are no travel restrictions within the Schengen area. Your booking is confirmed.

If you live outside of France, outside the Schengen area: the borders remain closed until 1 July. For bookings after 1 July, we will review your booking with you around that date once the situation is clearer. We will delay balance payment to enable any last-minute decision-making.

Due to the economic consequences of the coronavirus crisis on the tourism sector, we can offer postponements to later in 2020 under French law if that is suitable to both parties. Where it is not suitable, then a credit note valid for 18 months will be offered. Should the credit note not be used after 18 months, then it is fully refundable.

Updated 25 June 2020

For now we are carrying out some planned projects such as installing new solar heating panels for the pool and carrying out a make-over to the terrace in-front of Maison Pyron. This involves installing a new large terrace awning; removing the overgrown leylandii hedge to give lovely views of the gardens at the back of Pyron. We are also continuing to work on our permaculture potager and rediscover the already existing paths in our woodland by clearing some of the old fallen oak trees, which we will then season for future firewood.
