If you would like to get in touch about staying at Pyron or have any questions about the area, travel or events, please contact us by either completing our Enquiry Form on our Booking Page or you can email us directly: We will reply as soon as we can and we look forward to welcoming you here. We will send you local directions on how to reach Pyron prior to your stay.

The property is situated between Hagetmau (5 minutes by car, 3 km) and Saint Sever (10 minutes by car, 11 km). Both towns have cafés, boulangeries, patisseries, markets and independents stores in the centre and there are several supermarkets between 5-10 minutes drive from here.

COVID-19 Information

We are monitoring the situation and will review your summer 2020 booking with you closer to your stay.

Stage two of déconfinement in France is expected to last from 2 June until 21 June.

From 2 June, the 100 km travel limit is lifted; beaches, parks, lakes, cafés and restaurants will re-open with social distancing in place and groups are still limited to a maximum of 10 people in public spaces.

From now until 15 June, the rules state that only a French national and/or a permanent resident returning to their main home, can enter France (unless travelling for one of several valid reasons as stated on a new attestation travel form).

From 15 June, border restrictions and travel into France from European countries are to be lifted; “reciprocal” voluntary quarantines may be in place for people arriving in France from countries that have their own quarantines for people arriving from France, such as the UK and decisions will be made on whether to relax/open border restrictions on arrivals into France from outside the European Union.

Stage three of déconfinement will start on 22 June - more information will follow at that time.

For holidays after 15 June 2020, please come back to us around that time, when we will update our site with any relevant developments relating to governmental decisions. For stays beyond 15 June, our normal contract and cancellation policy applies for now.

If the situation remains unclear regarding travel, we will discuss options available with you in the hope of finding a solution. Two options could be to reduce our current cancellation policy and balance payment timeline to help with last-minute decision making.

Due to the economic consequences of the coronavirus crisis on the tourism sector, we can offer postponements to later in 2020 under French law if that is suitable to both parties. Where it is not suitable, then a credit note valid for 18 months will be offered. Should the credit note not be used after 18 months, then it is fully refundable.

  • Thorough attention paid to items that are frequently touched (door handles, light switches, remote controls…)
  • Wearing masks and gloves to clean
  • Washing of household linen at high temperature
  • Washing dishes at high temperature
  • Respect of social distancing rules upon arrival
  • Removing soft furnishings, cushions, etc...
  • Changing shower curtains at changeover
  • Providing digital Welcome Guides
  • Only one property will be rented out to one family/one group of families in summer 2020.

Updated 1 June 2020

For now we are carrying out some planned projects such as installing new solar heating panels for the pool and carrying out a make-over to the terrace in-front of Maison Pyron. This involves installing a new large terrace awning; removing the overgrown leylandii hedge to replace it with a lower wall/screening and surface for a new large plancha and preparation area giving lovely views of the gardens at the back of Pyron. We are also continuing to work on our permaculture potager and rediscover the already existing paths in our woodland by clearing some of the old fallen oak trees, which we will then season for future firewood.
