Terms & Conditions

When you make a direct booking with us, you are entering into a contract with the owner of Pyron. The following conditions apply to all bookings accepted by us.

Booking

The person signing the booking form certifies that he/she is authorised to accept all the booking conditions on behalf of all persons included on the booking form including those substituted or added at a later date. Once a booking has been confirmed by the home owner, a contract will exist between the signatory of the booking form and the home owners. The signatory of the booking form must be 18 years or over and is responsible for making all payments due to us.

Confirmation of Booking

To secure a booking, the client should complete and sign the booking form and return it with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (25% of the total rent due). We can hold a booking for 72 hours to allow you to make payment. The owners will also sign the booking form and send you an email confirming booking once we have received your payment. If no payment or communication is received within 72 hours, we will assume the booking is cancelled.

The owners reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason. If we do this, we will tell you by email and promptly refund any money you have paid to us.

Balance of Payment

The balance is to be paid eight weeks prior to your arrival. Once we have received the final balance payment we will send a separate email detailing arrival instructions and local directions.

If a booking is made within the eight-week period, full payment will be required. If payment is not made in full eight weeks prior to the rental start date, we reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled and the deposit is forfeited.

Fully Inclusive Price

The rental price is fully inclusive of bed linens, bathroom towels, electricity, Wi-Fi, welcome pack on weekly stays, end of stay cleaning and tourist taxes. We can also provide pool towels at no extra charge if requested by guests. A change of linens will be provided to guests staying for two weeks. Any extra charges for wood for winter bookings will be clarified in advance.

Damages Deposit

In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. We ask for a security deposit to cover any damages to the property, to be paid with the balance eight weeks prior to your arrival. We will refund the deposit within seven days of your departure provided there are no breakages/damage; the house is left in the clean and tidy state you found it in and all keys are returned to us. Should the security deposit be inadequate to cover any charges due to damages or breakages, it is a condition of booking that the client pays the balance due promptly following notification from the owners.

Please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them promptly, especially before check-out. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday and you may be charged for any loss or damage.

Damages Costs

Any damages and/or repairs in or to the property which are caused by your group, will be charged at cost along with any extra costs that may result. We will allow for wear and tear where appropriate and an amount for our time to carry out such repairs. If keys and gate fobs are not returned, the cost of replacing these will be deducted from your deposit.

Cleaning

We ask our guests to leave the properties clean and tidy upon departure; that all furniture is returned to its original place; the BBQ is cleaned and high chairs and kitchen surfaces are wiped down. We include a general end of stay clean but if the property is left in an unacceptable condition and a much deeper clean is needed, we reserve the right to deduct cleaning charges from the security deposit.

Advertising

We aim to provide accurate information on our website, Welcome Guides and on third party listing sites. Occasionally there may be small differences between the information and actual property, when we are making upgrades at Pyron. We cannot accept responsibility for any changes to local events or services mentioned on our website.

Alterations to Booking by Guests

Any amendment to a booking (such as more or fewer guests or a change to the number of adults or children) must be put in writing by email to us by the person who made the booking. There is no fee for this. If you wish to change your dates, we will do our best if the revised dates are available. There is a £25 / 30€ administration fee for any changes of dates made to bookings to cover our time. If we cannot change the dates, the booking will still be valid unless cancelled as in these conditions.

Alterations to Booking by Owners

In the unlikely event that we would need to make changes to your booking, we will discuss this fully with you.

Cancellations by Guests & Charges

Any cancellation should be advised in writing, by email, to us as the owners. Upon receipt of such, the property will be made available again and if the owners receive a replacement letting a refund may be payable minus £50 or 60€ administration charge. The following cancellation charges will apply:

If the balance payment is not received at least eight weeks before the holiday starts, the booking may be automatically cancelled.

Travel Insurance

In the event that a guest decides to cancel their booking, we strongly recommend you arrange adequate comprehensive travel insurance for yourself including cancellation cover as well as medical cover and have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability etc… since these are not covered by the owner's insurance. We cannot be held liable for any cancellation costs incurred by you in the event of cancelling your holiday with us. If you choose not to take out travel insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.

Cancellation by the Owners

Your booking would not be cancelled by the owner except in exceptional circumstances. Notification and explanation will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us by you. This would be our only obligation to you.

Property

Arrival and Departure

Tenancies usually commence at 17h00 at the earliest on arrival day and end at 10h00 at the latest on departure day unless agreed otherwise with us in advance. This is particularly important during the busy summer season to allow sufficient time to thoroughly clean, disinfect and prepare the property for incoming guests. We may be able to be a little more flexible out of season.

We will send you instructions on how to reach Pyron once full payment has been received. Please give us an indication of your arrival time and let us know if your arrival is to be delayed.

Maximum Occupancy

The number of guests permitted in the property is specified in your rental agreement.

Day Visitors

Facilities are open only to residential guests. Please seek prior approval from owners should you expect external guests. Day visitors are only allowed by consent with the owner in advance. Depending on numbers there may be a daily charge of €10 per person. Unauthorised guests will result in a charge whilst here or against your deposit.

Use of Pool, Land and Property

The swimming pool is open daily and cleaned once a week with a robot that takes four hours. The pool is not to be used during this time. Please do not use glass or sharp objects in or near the pool. Guests must shower before entering the water to rinse off creams and makeup, which stain the pool liner.

Guests are entirely responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times. Never leave children without adult supervision. The owners cannot be responsible in any way for misuse or accidents regarding the swimming pool or on the land/property. The pool has gated fencing and an immersion alarm with younger children’s safety in mind.

Swimming Pool Exclusivity

If renting Maison Pyron & Le Grenier together as a large group, the pool is exclusive to your group. No other property is rented.

If renting Maison Pyron alone, the pool is exclusive to your group. No other property is rented.

If renting Le Grenier alone, the pool is exclusive to your group. No other property is rented.

Le Four is not currently available for rent during the summer.

The owners may take an occasional swim.

Welcome Guide

Please take time to read our Welcome Guide upon arrival for further information on the house and facilities.

Condition of use

This property is privately owned and is our home. We invite guests to enjoy the facilities and to treat the property with the same respect that they would their own home.

Your party agrees to keep the property, contents and outdoor areas, clean and tidy and to leave it in the same condition that you found it in when you arrived; to behave in a way at that does not break any law; to not to use the property for any illegal or commercial purpose and not to allow any additional guests to stay.

The client agrees to take good care of the property and not to smoke inside any of the buildings. Smoking-related fires invalidate our insurance and the client would assume responsibility for any damage.

Please respect the neighbours and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially between 23h00 and 8h00.

You must not hold parties, celebrations or meetings without our advanced consent. If you do any of these things, we can repossess the property and the booking will be treated as cancelled with no refunds. We are not obliged to find any alternative accommodation for you.

We can provide baby equipment (stair-gate, travel cot, high chairs, baby bath, changing mat, etc...) We will supply a mattress protector and fitted sheet for the travel cot - you will need to provide any other linen, baby pillow, etc...

All equipment provided is used at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for personal injury to guests or personal loss.

No pets are allowed in the property. We have two cats on-site and should you have allergies to cats, we cannot accept responsibility for any allergic health reaction.

No smoking is allowed inside the properties (smoking outside is fine – please use ashtrays provided and be aware of the potential of fire to the grounds and woodland in the hot dry summer weather).

Please lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied.

Please switch off lights, heating and air conditioning when you go out – we aim to be eco-friendly.

Please use beach towels around the pool.

Plancha – please clean the plancha after use.

Candles are not allowed inside the house.

At check-out we ask guests to empty bins, strip beds, wash up, empty dishwasher and take recycling to the recycling bins and clean plancha.

You must report to the on-site owners without delay any defects in the property or breakdown in the equipment, plant, machinery or appliances in the property or garden. Arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible by the owners.

We or our representatives reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.

We charge a £15 / 20€ administration fee to return left property to you. This would cover the cost of our time, packing and cost of postage. This may cost more depending on the weight or value of the item. Anything unclaimed after 28 days will be given to local charity shops.

In the unlikely event of a property being unavailable due to circumstances beyond the owner’s control, the client will be informed as soon as possible. All rent paid in advance, will be refunded by the owner to the client in full. The client shall have no further claim against the owner.

The owner shall not be liable to the client:

  • for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment or appliance in the property;

  • for any loss, damage or injury which is a result of adverse weather conditions; riot; war; strike; natural disaster; acts of terrorism; malicious damage; governmental rules; or other matters beyond the control of the owner;

  • for loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the owner shall, within seven days of notification to the client, refund all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

  • any noise or disturbance from beyond the boundaries of the property or which is beyond our control.

Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the client exceed the amount paid for the rental.

Complaints

Any serious complaint about the properties should be directed to ourselves, in order to allow us the opportunity to investigate and resolve any problems as quickly as possible. Complaints should be reported during the holiday period. They cannot be accepted after the holiday period.

Communication

In order to process your booking we will need to ask for personal information. We will never pass on your details to third parties. We may occasionally email guests with special offers, local events and new developments at Pyron. Please let us know if you do not wish to be included in our email mailing list.

Governing Law

This contract will be governed by French Law.
